Transparency
Progressio is committed to transparency, openness and accountability. We want to make sure that you have access to all the information that you might want about what we do and how we do it. And we want to make sure you know how to contact us if you want to give us feedback or make a complaint.
Openness
We publish a range of information on this website including our financial statements and trustees report (372k PDF), environmental assessment and strategic framework (204k PDF).
We also make publicly available independent evaluations of our work. Our most recent evaluation was carried out from July-September 2010. You can read a short summary of the main findings or download the full report, Evaluation of the Progressio-DFID Programme Partnership Agreement: Final Report (273k PDF).
If you can’t find the answers you are looking for on this website, please contact us.
Accountability
Partnership is central to Progressio’s approach to development. We work in partnership with local organisations in the countries where we work, to bring about sustainable change. We do this through development workers who work to build the capacities of organisations and communities, and through national and international alliances and networks.
We are committed to a high standard of accountability to our various stakeholders – donors, members, supporters, partners and beneficiaries, as well as staff and development workers. In particular, we are committed to taking account of the views, needs and capacities of our partner organisations and beneficiary communities so that we can ensure the quality and effectiveness of the work we do.
You can read more about how we ensure accountability to our various stakeholders in our accountability framework (86k PDF).
Feedback and complaints
If you think we have done anything wrong, or if you have a complaint or any other observation about the way we do things, then please contact us to tell us about it.
We know that there may be times when we may not meet our own high standards. When this does happen we want to hear about it, deal with the situation as quickly as possible and put measures in place to stop it happening again. We will treat all feedback and complaints as an opportunity to improve and where we have made mistakes we will apologise and try to prevent them from reoccurring.
We will follow our feedback and complaints procedure (22k PDF) which aims to deal promptly with complaints and provide a clear response. Confidentiality will be maintained at all times.
We also have a whistle-blowing policy (49k PDF) for employees and other people connected with Progressio, such as partners and members, to disclose information which they believe shows malpractice or impropriety has occurred or may occur within Progressio and/or its work.
